Stay bear aware – with your garbage and when moving between your RV and the washrooms/laundry room
As some of you know, we had a visit from a quite large, very persistent bear last night. He got into the garbage by bending the lid in half, so it would go under the bar. Harvey and I cleaned up and re-secured the lid around 10:30 p.m., but by 4:00 a.m., the bear had returned.
Remember to separate your food waste from your dry waste. The bear found a bag with a very small amount of vegetable matter. And be alert when you are walking around the resort at dawn and at dusk – the time when bears are the most active.
