Wildlife in the Park

Over the last couple of weeks, there has been an increase in wildlife sightings in the park. The deer are grazing on the slope above the 100 level. A cougar was sighted hiding at an RV pad during the Halloween fireworks last weekend. And we seem to have a bear that is particularly interested in the area. Harvey and I visited Langdale RV Resort a couple of weekends ago, and they have had a bear breaking into RVs as well as the garbage.

Please be particularly mindful if you are walking in the RV park at night or during dusk and dawn. Make sure there is no garbage stored for any length of time at your pad. And please take extra care putting the chain back on the garbage and food waste bins. When the chain is not properly affixed, bears like to get in there and pull bags of garbage out, even if there is nothing for them to eat.
