So if today’s snow and power out were not exciting enough for you, we have 3 days of below freezing temperatures forecast starting tonight. For those new to the park, we would like to remind you of the importance of protecting your water supply. We suggest you insulate and wrap heat tape on your hoses and water stand.
As we did during the last cold snap, Harvey and I will walk around tonight and disconnect any hoses which are not protected. Remember that the water stand needs to be empty of water. Turning the water off is not enough. The hose must be disconnected, and you will hear a gurgling sound as the water descends the water stand.
Since daytime temperatures are forecast above zero, it is ok to reconnect your hose when it warms up. Then disconnect it again at the end of the evening. Let us know if you need any assistance.
