If you have not heard, the park was visited by a bear very early this morning. The bear broke into 3 RVs, all of which were empty. This behaviour is not unusual for this time of year, and we need to be vigilant until the first frost.
The first action is to report to Conservation (1-877-952-7277). The hotline is available 24/7. We must make a report as they use the calls to follow the bear’s path.
If you are trying to scare a bear away, do not hesitate to use bear horns and bangers, even if it is the middle of the night. It alerts others in the park that a bear is on site. Know that bears will attempt doors whether the RVs are occupied or not. Cars are also targeted, so make sure you lock your car at night.
Thank you to everyone who worked to scare the bear away last night and those who called Conservation. The Twin Creeks community works together to keep everyone and everything safe.
